Site Certification

Peace of Mind

Site Certification service ensures a technician is on-site to verify that your turnstiles have been installed correctly and that there are no issues with the equipment or configuration upon start-up. Additionally, the technician trains the integrator and end-user security manager on proper usage of the system to certify that the equipment is being used as intended.

Verify proper installation, wiring, and integration with access
control and fire alarm systems.
Assist in establishing customer use cases (card-in, free egress,
etc.).
Confirm all lane status lights and alarm sounders are functioning.
Align and adjust all barriers.
Provide turnstile operational training to end-users.
Provide turnstile technical training to integrators.

1. Report any damages, missing items, or discrepancies, such as glass height or turnstile customizations. In the event of a problem, contact Smarter Security immediately support@smartersecurity.com

2. Mount and orient pedestals correctly, as described in installation manual. See transmit beam orientation (TX->INT->RX). Arrows to be pointing in the same direction. Arrows located at the base of the turnstile chassis.

3. Install power supplies external to turnstiles and wire for AC voltage, as instructed in the manual.

Note: Pedestals must be grounded. Power supplies are NOT to be shared with any other devices or daisy-chained to other pedestal PCBs.

4. Run wire gauge from power supply modules to turnstiles. Suggestion: 0-50' / 18awg. 50-100' / 16awg. 100-200' / 14awg. 200+ / contact us.

5. Run and connect CAT5 interconnect communication cables from RX pedestal CPU REM OUT to TX pedestal interface board REM IN for each lane. Refer to the installation manual for correct CAT5 terminations.

6. Terminate input & output controls on CPU to meet customer requirements for access control (e.g. card in/card out, remote consoles, fire relay). Refer to the installation manual for correct input/output termination.

Note: If circumstances are different upon arrival and excess time is required on-site, the customer will be billed for incremental expenses incurred in addition to a daily rate for each incremental day that results from inconsistencies.
