This week, we get to recognize Danielle Ebner, Northeast Regional Manager for Smarter Security. For almost twenty years, Danielle has been a part of the security industry, with the last two as a part of the Smarter Security team. From creating premium physical security solutions to opening a New York showroom in the heart of Manhattan, every day is an exciting adventure for Danielle.

- What does a day in the life of Danielle look like?
No day is ever the same. It’s that fact that really draws me to manufacturer sales. Some days I will be in our 5th Avenue showroom speaking with end users, architects, integrators or consultants while others have me traveling to our client sites to talk through what solutions are best for their facility. All types of facilities use turnstiles. I love learning about different businesses and what they do. Oh, and I drink a ton of coffee along the way. - What is the biggest technical challenge you’ve encountered?
Helping people really understand the differences in Fastlane® turnstile products and others that are out in the market, especially when the general contractor is making the decision. I’ve learned that we need to be able to educate everyone in the process, not just the integrator. At the end of the day, the end user will be the one left with an unsatisfactory experience and more money spent out-of-pocket if a substandard product is chosen and doesn’t live up to the standards that it was sold under. On the flip side of that, the integrator and end user gets a positive experience and a better investment when they fully understand the products they are purchasing from the very start. - What has been the most memorable solution you’ve worked on?
It’s hard to choose just one because they’re all so unique. I really love that they are all different. We have 17 standard models and unlimited customization options with our turnstiles. So even when two buildings buy the same model, it can look so different when customized to their space. - If you had to give one piece of advice to an end user, architect or integrator, what would it be?
It’s critically important to pay attention to what’s inside. Many brands can make turnstiles that look like Fastlane turnstiles, but our intelligence and workmanship is unmatched. - When you’re not helping our customers create robust entrance control solutions, what are your favorite things to do and places to go?
Outside of the office, being active and spending time with my family and friends is what I love to do the most. You can find me traveling with my children, working out with friends, drinking amazing coffee, or just enjoying a quiet dinner and drinks with my husband.
