- How long have you been at Smarter Security?
It has been almost 5 wonderful years of helping our customers create one-of-a-kind entrance control strategies with the top of the line turnstiles in the industry!
- What does a day in the life of Jessika look like?
My mornings are the busiest part of the day while I usually work with our production team to make sure that our orders stay on track. The rest of my day is filled with answering calls and questions about current orders and the solutions that we offer, as well as putting quotes together for our current and prospective customers. - What has been the most memorable solution you’ve worked on and why?
It’s actually a recent one, we just completed a project for one of the industry’s most prominent chat tools. We integrated a new biometric technology seamlessly into the turnstile and were able to provide a custom look that really complimented their modern lobby. We worked with one of our top integrators, and the outcome was outstanding. I love working on custom projects when the goal is a cool looking turnstile, but it was even more satisfying to see high-tech meet aesthetics for their business. - If you had to give one piece of advice to an end-user, architect or integrator, what would it be?
If you’re looking to add turnstiles to your lobby, remember that they really can make a significant first impression on your visitors and employees. You want something that looks nice but also lets them know that you take your security seriously. That’s why we only use materials that last and design our turnstiles while paying attention down to the very last detail.
- When you’re not helping our customers create robust entrance control solutions, what are your favorite things to do and places to go?
When you live in Austin, you don’t have to look far to find something fun to do, whether it is a new restaurant or brewery to check out, and of course, many other things to choose from. I love hiking the local greenbelt trails and enjoying the parks that we have around town. I also foster for our local animal rescue, so from time to time I spend my weekends playing with puppies. It’s a hard job, but someone’s gotta do it!
