Mid-Atlantic/Federal Sales Leader

We are looking for an experienced, Mid-Atlantic/Federal Sales leader located in the Mid-Atlantic region to join our growing sales team who will be responsible for identifying, engaging, planning, and developing new opportunities within the US Federal Government (entrance control only) and commercial accounts (entrance and access control). A qualified candidate will also work in coordinating client relationship opportunities such as project proposals, budgets, service contracts, and work orders while enhancing current accounts and business opportunities within the federal government and Mid-Atlantic market region.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with key decision makers within government sectors, security integrators and consultants
  • Identify new opportunities within the Mid-Atlantic region
  • Assist customer accounts through email, phone, online presentations and in-person meetings
  • Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment
  • Meet and exceed financial goals
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Continuous building of preferred status amongst integrators
  • Manage relationships with local consulting firms
  • Travel as needed to stay top of mind within assigned territory
  • Understand and keep up to date with the security industry and competitive landscape knowledge
  • Serve as subject matter expert for entry and access control products offered by Smarter Security


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience selling entrance control or other advanced security systems to Federal, State and Municipal government agencies
  • Proven track record of success in a quota-driven sales environment
  • Strong channel partner relationships in Washington D.C. and surrounding states
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and impact credibly and effectively with government influencers in each sector and leverage partnerships as needed
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
