Insurance Company Stops Fines and Intruders with Glassgate 150
Insurance companies collect a ton of personal data on their customers, and it’s important to keep this secure. This is why MARS-E requirements (Minimum Acceptable Risk Standards for Exchanges) were created and why steep fines are imposed for non-compliance. A southern insurance company seeking to increase security and avoid such fines recently installed two lanes of Fastlane Glassgate® 150 in its headquarters building.
The customer had aging non-barrier turnstiles from a competitor, and an experienced integrator recommended Fastlane for the move to higher security. Glassgate 150 with low glass barriers and glass side panels projects an open feel, and the card-in/card-out operation provides building access and occupancy intelligence.
Fastlane Reliability Backed with 5-Year Warranty
Fastlane turnstiles are well-known for their reliability. This leads to happy users and security managers and to our lanes lasting up to 20 years in some installations. Reliability is hard to “see” before you buy, so we’re making it easier with our newly available 5-year warranty.
For years, we’ve offered an upgrade to a 3-year warranty with our Site Certification service, and most Fastlane customers choose this. Now, pair Site Certification at the outset with our Preventive Maintenance that will have one of our technicians service your lanes every 18 months, and the Fastlane warranty extends to 5 years. So you can see, with Fastlane, your risk is low and your security is high.
New Hires to Increase Security Offerings
Smarter Security is wrapping up a second consecutive banner sales year, and we’re working to have even more by expanding and improving the security solutions we offer. With plans coming into focus, we recently named a new Executive Vice President to spearhead these developments. John Carter comes to us with 30 years in the security industry working in access control, CCTV and biometrics.
Also new to the team is Mitchell Crowsey, a Senior Software Developer who’s held software engineering positions in the security industry working on access control and CCTV for the better part of two decades. Look for enhancements and exciting new offerings in 2016 from this investment in innovation.
BIM Objects Available to Help A&E Community
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is having a measurable impact on the construction industry. The promises of 3D geometry, collaboration, and cost reduction are compelling, and adoption will continue to grow. We are pleased to now offer BIM objects for our Fastlane turnstiles and passgates which we believe will aid architects, designers and engineers in their work.
BIM objects are more than just 3D models. They are powerful because they package all the properties and functional characteristics of the products together with the models. Fastlane BIM objects are available in Revit and IFC formats and can be accessed from our Website today.
