Smarter Security Systems Appoints New Vice President of Marketing

Stori Waugh Joins Entrance Control and Outdoor Security Solution Provider, Bringing More than 15 Years of Leadership Experience in Technology Industry
Austin, Texas – October 5, 2011

Smarter Security Systems, provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced the appointment of Stori Waugh as Vice President of Marketing. Waugh has responsibility for branding and will drive all marketing and sales enablement planning and execution. In addition, she leads the product group charged with introducing the next generation of profitable security solutions. Waugh reports directly to the CEO, Jeff Brown.

Waugh has been in the technology industry her entire career. She held multiple marketing roles in 13 years at Dell Inc., most recently as the Director of the Enterprise Server Product Group in which she built and managed a team to drive the launch of four generations of servers that led to $7.4 billion in annual revenues. Prior to that she held Advisor and Director roles at Compaq Computer Corporation and Altair. In addition to Waugh’s strength and discipline in bringing great, differentiated products to market, she has extensive experience in creative messaging, marketing planning, and in working with partners, customers, press, and analysts. Waugh earned her bachelor's degree in communications and marketing from the University of Houston.
