Smarter Security Introduces Newest Barrier Arm Turnstile

Fastlane® Plus 150SA Extends the Leading Line of Optical Turnstiles with a swinging arm barrier

Austin, Texas – August 25, 2016

Smarter Security, provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today introduced the Fastlane Plus 150SA turnstile. This latest addition to the Fastlane’s Optical Turnstile family features a swing arm barrier, advanced multi-processor intelligence, and utilizes a high-density infrared beam array to detect the movement of individuals and objects in its field of vision. See and demo the new Fastlane® Plus 150SA at ASIS 2016 in Orlando, FL.

“Fastlane Plus has been a large contributor to our industry leadership position over the years,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “This new model injects energy to the line by offering swinging barriers, a form factor that we introduced to the speedgate category with Fastlane Glassgate in 2007. Some customers prefer barriers that move in the direction of travel, so we are excited to enhance the Fastlane brand with this sleek new addition”.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane® Plus 150SA is designed to specific customer requests. It is quick in operation, sleek in appearance and secure and efficient in processing people. The 150SA automates lobby security by ensuring that each person presents a valid credential, with visual and audible alarms signaling an intrusion. Intelligent Fastlane optical technology observes tailgaters as close as ¼ inch and accurately distinguishes between people and objects to minimize nuisance alarms. Smarter Security will demonstrate Fastlane Plus 150SA in booth 2627 at the ASIS 2016 Exhibition starting September 12th in Orlando, Florida.

Supermarket Chain Secures Warehouse Entry with Speedgates from Smarter Security

Midwest Supermarket Chain with its Headquarters Building Protected by Fastlane Orders Glassgate 400 Optical Turnstiles to Secure the Employee Entrance to a Distribution Center

Austin, Texas – March 23, 2016

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced a Midwest supermarket chain ordered Fastlane Glassgate 400 speedgates to secure one of its distribution centers. The company has relied on Fastlane turnstiles to secure its headquarters and another building for nearly two years and selected the same model for its warehouse due to the reliability and success of the existing installations.

“The desire for secured lobbies continues to expand beyond the typical big-city applications and customers,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “We’re also seeing increased orders of Fastlanes with locking barriers, another sign that security efforts are tightening, and we’ve met the growing need by providing optional locking brakes on most of our barrier turnstiles. We’re thrilled to continue securing additional sites with this large, high-quality customer.”

The supermarket chain ordered two lanes of Glassgate 400 with six-foot barriers from Smarter Security to secure the employee entrance of the distribution center. The company chose Fastlane turnstiles to protect employees from various threats and to provide better insight to management on who is in the building at all times. The inclusion of the locking brake matches the lanes in the company’s headquarters. This initial installation of Glassgate 400s has been so pleasing to management that no other alternative was considered to secure this additional building.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane Glassgate 400 with the optional locking brakes and six-foot-high barriers is the highest security turnstile in the Fastlane line. The swinging glass barriers move in the direction of user travel to allow authorized personnel quick entry. Optional toothed, locking brakes prevent the barriers from being pushed open. Fastlane’s industry-leading intelligence minimizes nuisance and false alarms while providing ¼ inch tailgate detection. For user safety, Glassgate 400 is fashioned with safety beams to minimize the chance for human contact. Unlike other brands, full-height shafts support the glass barriers to reduce the risk of breakage. Glassgate 400 is available in three additional barrier heights.

Optical Turnstiles from Smarter Security Protect Boston Office Tower

General Contractor Chooses Fastlane Glasswing for a Second Building in Development after Years of Turnstile Reliability and Effective Security in an Earlier Completed High-Rise

Austin, Texas – February 10, 2016

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced a new office tower in Boston recently ordered Fastlane Glasswing optical turnstiles to secure the building lobby entrance. The owner of the building scheduled to open this year also opened a nearby building with Glasswing in 2010. The highly positive experience over the years convinced the company to match the aesthetics across the buildings and rely on a proven solution.

“Boston is one of those high-profile cities where the threats to individuals and businesses are more extensive and come in many forms” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “As a result, it has become the norm for new Class A high-rises to open with optical turnstiles in the lobby. We are thrilled to be chosen again by this building development team, and we are working to extend our New York City market dominance further east into Boston. Bringing on Stefano Wildermuth, our first New England region manager, in the last year is helping us achieve this objective.”

This customer ordered five lanes of Fastlane Glasswing from Smarter Security to secure the lobby entrance of the office tower opening in Boston later this year. A consultant specified the Glasswing turnstiles for the same customer back in 2009 due to Fastlane’s technology advantage. In both buildings, the tops of the turnstiles were customized to match the unique stone in the buildings. Smarter Security’s flexibility in handling this customization request the first time, the effectiveness of the entry control, and the reliability of the lanes over the many years since startup led to this second order. Despite the numerous turnstile brands available, the customer chose to continue buying Fastlane due to its industry-leading technology and aesthetics.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane Glasswing is a turnstile with wing-shaped, glass barriers that retract into the pedestals upon authorization. The barriers move quickly out of the path and will stay open for a series of authorized entrants. Safety beams prevent human contact by the barriers. In fact, Glasswing has more beams dedicated to safety than some competitive turnstiles have altogether. Intruders as close as ¼” inch behind authorized users will be alarmed, and anyone entering the lane without a credential or pushing aside the barriers will sound different alarms. An optional locking barrier will prevent the barriers from being opened by hand. Glasswing is UL 2593 listed to further enhance safety and streamline building inspections.

Global Staffing Company Secures Headquarters with Electronic Turnstiles from Smarter Security

Company Upgrades Entry Security at West Coast Office Building with Fastlane Glassgate 150 Turnstiles to Mitigate the Growing Threat of Terrorism

Austin, Texas – January 12, 2016

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced a staffing company recently installed Fastlane Glassgate 150 optical turnstiles in a headquarters building on the west coast. Terrorism in Paris a year ago, where shooters invaded a commercial office, signaled a need to tighten the entry security at its main office, and the company chose to rely on the U.S. industry leader to properly address the security risk.

“Terrorist activities are unfortunately spreading into the United States and add to the reasons Class A office towers and important organization buildings need higher levels of physical security,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “Fifteen years ago, optical turnstiles were mainly found in big cities east of the Mississippi. The world today is far different; now it is becoming standard fare to tighten lobby security in cities of all sizes with Fastlane. We are pleased to add this prestigious customer to the long list of others who appreciate Fastlane’s industry-leading intelligence, aesthetics and reliability.”

The staffing firm installed four lanes of Fastlane Glassgate 150 to secure the main building at its headquarters location in the western United States. Since the office building is leased, the firm chose to use Fastlane Floor Protector so the lobby floor would not need to be drilled to anchor the lanes. For the same reason, unique, free-standing Fastlane Infill is placed in the lobby to guide authorized people through the lanes to the secure side of the lobby. Smarter Security was the sole supplier considered due to its market-leading position and the many strengths that make Fastlanes so highly appreciated. Glassgate 150 was chosen partly for the value, and also for the fine aesthetics that complemented the architectural design in the building.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane Glassgate 150 is the company’s best-selling and entry-level barrier turnstile that helps automate building entry security. Glassgate 150 has pedestal-high glass barriers and glass side panels that combine to project a more open feel in the lobby. Security is high as tailgaters are alarmed as close as one-quarter inch, and worker entry is streamlined with passage of up to 60 people per minute, an industry best. Glassgate 150 was the first Fastlane model to be designed to be connected to an Ethernet network and four years later, nearly all Fastlanes are IP-enabled.

Financial Institution Selects Smarter Security’s Optical Turnstiles to Secure Headquarters Building

Fastlane Glassgate 250 Turnstiles to Control Elevator Access are a Key Part of Security Upgrades at the Bank’s New Office Tower

Austin, Texas – December 9, 2015

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced a financial institution recently installed Fastlane Glassgate 250 optical turnstiles in its new headquarters building in the northeastern United States. As a proponent of LEED certification, the end user appreciated the energy efficiency of Fastlane and trusted the extensive experience of the property manager that recommended Fastlane for its security and safety.

“We are finding that few Class A office towers open these days without the automated security that speedgates provide,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “This customer is one of many banks that place a great value on securing their workplaces and select Fastlane turnstiles to help them accomplish this mission. We are proud this organization recognized that not only does Smarter Security provide the most intelligent speedgate solution on the market, but that we also package that security in the most premium, sleek designs.”

The financial institution ordered six lanes of Fastlane Glassgate 250 to secure access to two banks of elevators in its new headquarters building. Turnstiles, CCTV, and an access control expansion were all part of the security upgrades as the company moved into the building. A leading property management firm working with the bank specified Fastlane due to its experience with the brand as a highly secure and safe solution in many other high-rises. The end user chose Glassgate 250 for the complementing aesthetics of the stainless steel pedestals and the low glass barriers.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane Glassgate 250 is an IP-enabled speedgate with bidirectional, swinging glass barriers that automates and accelerates a secure entry process for office buildings. Fastlane projects a dense matrix of beams across the passageway and uses distributed intelligence and advanced algorithms to quickly discern if objects moving through the lane are intruders; as a result, false and nuisance alarms are minimized. Glassgate 250 was the first UL 2593 listed turnstile in the industry and is one of several such Fastlane models that can help streamline the building inspection process and lower costs.

Insurance Company Strengthens Building Security with Barrier Turnstiles from Smarter Security

Responding to MARS-E Security Requirements, Insurance Company Replaces Aging Optical Turnstiles in Headquarters with Fastlane Glassgate 150

Austin, Texas – November 11, 2015

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced an insurance company in the southern United States recently installed Fastlane Glassgate 150 optical turnstiles to secure access to its headquarters. Already a user of a competitor’s optical-only units, the company upgraded to barrier turnstiles and switched to Fastlane in order to tighten security and avoid the risk of steep fines for lack of compliance with MARS-E regulations.

“MARS-E is a good example of where physical security and cybersecurity intersect,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “If someone can gain access to a private network by unauthorized physical intrusion into a corporate facility, critical data is suddenly at risk. We are pleased to be working with this insurance company and will work to help other such companies in the exchanges secure highly personal information.”

The insurance company in the southern United States ordered two lanes of Fastlane Glassgate 150 to secure lobby access to the elevators in its headquarters building. The company has employees present their credentials not just to enter, but also to exit the building in order to maintain strong access records and know building occupancy at any given time. Due to MARS-E, a turnstile with barriers was a requirement. A strong recommendation from a systems integrator very experienced with Fastlane and the sleek, open aesthetics of Glassgate 150 led the company to replace existing lobby turnstiles from a competitor. Minimum Acceptable Risk Standards for Exchanges (MARS-E) is a set of federal requirements for insurance companies to adequately secure the personal health, tax and identifiable information of exchange users.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane Glassgate 150 is one of many barrier turnstiles in the Fastlane line. Glassgate 150 has pedestal-height swinging glass barriers complemented by glass side panels that together create an open feel in the lobby. With advanced Fastlane technology, a tailgater as close as one-quarter inch behind an authorized worker will be alarmed, and nuisance alarms from bags and other items are virtually non-existent. Glassgate 150 is IP-enabled and with this IP connection and Fastlane’s Multi-lane Controller, a building or area population count can be tabulated for safety and smarter facility management.

Data Center Security Enhanced with Smarter Security Entry Control Solution

Financial Institution in the Midwest Deploys Door Detective CL at Doorways to Multiple Data Centers to Control Access to Sensitive Company Information and Assets

Austin, Texas – October 14, 2015

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced a financial institution in the Midwest recently ordered Door Detective CL to help secure corporate data centers. Aspiring to tighten physical security to support cyber security objectives, the customer acknowledged and addressed the vulnerability of the open, access-controlled door. Prior experience with Fastlane turnstiles motivated this firm to entrust Smarter Security with this door security need.

“Banking and financial firms remain among the top targets for cyber attacks, leading the industry veterans to carefully consider security vulnerabilities and smartly address them,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “It is rewarding to be selected to play a part in the security efforts that protect not just this company and its employees, but also its thousands of customers. Door Detective is an elegant and easy solution to a widespread and little-understood problem in access control.”

The financial institution ordered twelve units of Door Detective CL from Smarter Security to deploy on doorway entrances to multiple data centers. In a proactive move to strengthen security before a breach, the company chose the CL model because it values high security and wanted the top-of-the-line model to work together with biometric readers and two-factor authentication. Door Detective sounds a local alarm and flashes red lights if someone tries to enter a data center without presenting proper credentials. Twenty-four-seven, on-site security staff is notified of the intrusion and responds to assess and contain the threat. This order follows prior installations of Fastlane optical turnstiles to secure the banking firm’s office building lobby entrances.

Door Detective from Smarter Security enhances access control at doorways by forcing every person passing through to present a valid credential and move only in the authorized direction. It is designed to eliminate the threats of tailgaters, people sneaking in as someone leaves the secure area, and piggybackers who are authorized but don’t present their credential. Door Detective comes in three models with advanced intelligence to minimize false alarms from items pushed, pulled, or carried. Door Detective CL is the premium model with elegant aesthetics and status lights to provide users feedback.

University Upgrades Dormitory Entry Security with Smarter Security Solution

University in Midwest Adds Fastlane Glassgate 250 Optical Turnstiles with FastScan to Better Control Visitors and Protect Students in their Residence

Austin, Texas – August 26, 2015

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced an urban university in the Midwest recently ordered Fastlane Glassgate 250 optical turnstiles to help secure a dormitory. Modern demands on universities to provide safer environments for students prompted the university to add sophisticated entry control, and a successful experience with this installation may lead to more around the campus.

“We are pleased to be working with this institution to both physically and psychologically safeguard its students in their living spaces,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “The violence that has taken place on American campuses is tragic, and one of the rewards of what we do every day is having the ability to help address this problem.”

The Midwest university in a downtown area ordered four lanes of Fastlane Glassgate 250 from Smarter Security to control the lobby entrance for one of its residential dormitories. The turnstile installation is designed to adjust to the flow of people with one lane dedicated to entry, one to exit, and two lanes available for bidirectional passage. Visitors who formerly signed in on a paper logbook now will be issued a barcode badge and pass through the turnstiles by using Smarter Security’s FastScan installed in two of the lanes. Both residents and visitors will card in and card out so the housing management knows building occupancy at any time. Fastlane was recommended to the university by its systems integrator that is familiar with Fastlane’s reliability and ease of integration with various access control technologies. The university likes Fastlane aesthetics and selected Glassgate 250 for the open feel of the low, glass barriers.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane Glassgate 250 is a speedgate with pedestal-height, glass barriers that swing in the direction of the user’s travel. Entry control is automated and upgraded as residents and visitors must present a valid credential to access the building. Glassgate 250 handles up to 60 people per minute to minimize any delayed passage. The barriers are a visual deterrent and have moderate resistance to further deter intruders, followed by a second, louder alarm if someone pushes the barriers open. A locking brake is a higher security option to prevent invalid entry. Glassgate 250 is an IP-enabled optical turnstile that was the first turnstile in the industry to have a UL 2593 listing.

Lobby Security for Social Media Company Provided by Smarter Security

Existing Customer Installs Fastlane Glassgate 300 Barrier Turnstiles in New Building to Strengthen Security; FastScan PS Integrates Visitors into Secure Entry Process Using Smartphones

Austin, Texas – July 22, 2015

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced an established social media company recently installed Fastlane Glassgate 300 optical turnstiles for a new building in California. Happy with the Fastlane lanes protecting an existing high-rise, the customer choose to upgrade security to the latest barrier turnstile from Fastlane and enhance visitor management with FastScan PS, a unique offering that replaces printed visitor badges with an emailed QR code.

“Tech companies have been an important market for us in recent years as they’ve embraced stepping up physical security and appreciate the high technology in Fastlane,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “We frequently have customers purchase again for additional buildings, and the path of this customer – from non-barrier to a barrier model – reflects the overall market direction. We are pleased to continue our relationship with this company and to complement their new building lobby with the elegant aesthetics of Fastlane design.”

The social media company ordered four lanes of Fastlane Glassgate 300 from Smarter Security to protect the lobby access to the elevators in its new office building in California. Fastlane non-barrier lanes have secured another building for years, and the company chose a barrier model because it desires a higher level of security in 2015. The customer selected Glassgate 300 because of its unique style and pedestal-height barriers for a more streamlined appearance. FastScan PS installed in the lanes will help the company go paperless with visitors at this location, reducing waste and lowering costs, by allowing visitors to pass through the Glassgate 300 lanes using individualized QR codes in emails read from their smartphone screens.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane Glassgate 300 is unlike any other turnstile in the industry with a design that eliminates the ends. Combined with the glass side panels and barriers, this creates a more open atmosphere. Security is at a high level as the barriers in heights up to 59” are a strong deterrent, and Fastlane optical technology reliably alarms intruders and tailgaters as close as ¼” apart. Glassgate 300 is an IP-enabled turnstile which can be managed over the web from any PC or mobile device and, using XML data and CGI scripts, can be controlled from within an access control system. FastScan is a multi-reader system for Fastlane turnstiles that, unlike others, is factory-installed and has the full-warranty of the turnstile. Seamlessly integrated, it reads proximity cards as well as printed visitor barcode badges and QR codes from smartphones.

Leading Chemical Company Enhances Entrance Control with Smarter Security

Fastlane Glasswing Turnstiles to Help Company Stay Ahead of DHS Regulations and Protect its People and Sensitive Chemical Information

Austin, Texas – June 30, 2015

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced a leading chemical company ordered Fastlane Glasswing optical turnstiles for a building on the east coast. DHS directives for chemical companies moved the company to better control the entry to the office building and witnessing the operation and beauty of Fastlane turnstiles installed nearby was compelling.

“The continued threats of domestic and foreign terrorism make securing our chemical industry vitally important,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “We are pleased to be trusted with helping this company improve its building security. There is an increased demand for Fastlane turnstiles across industries and throughout the United States as organizations use this time of relative prosperity to automate and strengthen entrance control in their facilities.”

This chemical industry leader ordered five lanes of Fastlane Glasswing from Smarter Security to more effectively control visitors and employees entering the main lobby and to restrict access on an upper floor of a building in the eastern United States. The systems integrator had a positive prior experience with Smarter Security and took its client to observe Glasswing installations. The aesthetics and quiet, reliable operation of the lanes handling a high flow of people convinced the end user to go with Fastlane. The chemical company also chose Fastlane Infill to block off parts of the lobby and guide workers to enter through the security lanes.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane Glasswing is unique in the Fastlane line as it is the only model with retracting glass barriers. It comes in three lane widths from 22” to the standard of 36” for ADA. The glass barriers retract upon authorization and quickly reset to block any tailgating attempt. Ample safety beams prevent the angel-wing-shaped barriers from striking people in the lane. Fastlane optical technology alarms any piggybackers or unauthorized users and a separate alarm sounds when the barriers are forced open by hand. Glasswing is one of many Fastlane turnstiles with a UL 2593 listing.

Optical Turnstiles from Smarter Security Chosen to Secure Large Energy Company Building

Fastlane Glassgate 200 Turnstiles with Locking Brakes will Upgrade Entry Security at Second Site for Customer

Austin, Texas – May 13, 2015

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced a top ten energy company selected Fastlane Glassgate 200 optical turnstiles for a facility in the northeast. After switching to Fastlane from a competitor, this will be the second installation for this customer as it moves to strengthen entry security in buildings in many parts of the country.

“We have enjoyed great success in helping to secure energy companies in recent years, and we are pleased to continue our relationship with this organization,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “Energy is a critically important industry in the global economy and with this position comes a higher threat level. Fastlane IP turnstiles help neutralize these threats for many Fortune 100 companies, which is a testament to the superior entrance security they deliver.”

The energy company ordered four lanes of Glassgate 200 from Smarter Security to secure the main lobby and a second entrance for a building in the northeast United States. After a disappointing experience with a competitor, the customer purchased Glassgate 200 for a different building last year and this experience led to the latest order of the same model. The aesthetics of Glassgate 200 were an initial draw and the reliability after nearly a year of running them is appealing today. The barriers for this latest order are 5-feet high to deter people from jumping over them and are equipped with a locking brake to obstruct unauthorized access when the entrances are unstaffed. To avoid coring the floor of this older building, the customer ordered Fastlane floor protectors.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane Glassgate 200 is an IP-enabled optical turnstile with swinging glass barriers available in three different heights. The barriers quickly open in the direction of travel for authenticated users and can remain open for other authenticated workers to provide the fastest throughput speed in the industry. Tailgaters passing through the open barriers are alarmed while objects carried, pushed or pulled cause no alarm due to intelligent Fastlane optical technology. An electromechanical locking brake is a high-security option that prevents unauthorized users from pushing past closed barriers.

Hospital Security Strengthened with Fastlane Optical Turnstiles from Smarter Security

Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Adds Fastlane Plus AS to Several Building Lobbies to Increase Safety and Security for Staff and Patients

Austin, Texas – February 10, 2015

Smarter Security, Inc., provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced that Thomas Jefferson University Hospital recently ordered Fastlane Plus AS optical turnstiles and Fastlane Intelligate to secure its Gibbon Building lobbies. A prior Fastlane installation proved the feasibility of controlling the traditionally open hospital lobby and prompted the organization to take further action. This latest Fastlane order is one of several the hospital placed in 2014 which, in total, will secure five different buildings on the hospital campus.

“Fastlane Plus turnstiles have made a significant difference in our hospital security,” said Edward Schultz, Senior Project Manager/Facilities Design & Construction of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. “The turnstiles allow us to control access to our buildings resulting in a safer environment for our employees. Our staff is happy the buildings are now controlled, and we look forward to extending the benefits by adding lanes to additional buildings.”

Nine lanes of Fastlane Plus AS from Smarter Security will soon be installed by Siemens Building Technologies in sets of three to protect the three public entrances to the Gibbon Building. Doctors and staff enter through the lobby turnstiles or through access-controlled, private doors, while all approved visitors are issued barcode badges that are read by the unique FastScan system integrated in the lanes. An unauthorized entrance is alarmed and the intruder is quickly confronted by lobby security staff. Intelligate will be installed with each lane set and this wider access gate with tailgate detection will allow passage for stretchers and bariatric wheelchairs. In total, eighteen lanes of Fastlane Plus will protect Thomas Jefferson University Hospital buildings.

“A few years ago, we worked with a security consultant who specified us for a project at Thomas Jefferson University,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “We are thrilled that the success with those early installations at the university turned into this fantastic relationship with the co-located hospital system. Big-city hospitals face unique challenges and with Fastlane entry control they can reduce many day-to-day risks as well as deter more extreme threats such as the tragic, targeted shootings at hospitals in El Paso and Boston last month. This new accountability contributes to the protection of lives as well as the hospital’s bottom line.”

“I’ve worked with Smarter Security on all these projects in Philadelphia, and their people really get it. They are friendly and responsive when I need a quote or any support,” said Brian Drea, Account Executive for Siemens Building Technologies, the systems integrator for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. “Fastlane optical turnstiles are distinctive because they look great and are highly reliable. I also appreciate Fastlane’s broad selection that helps me serve a variety of customers.”

Fastlane Plus AS is an optical turnstile from Smarter Security that has barrier arms to deter unwanted entry. The model is unique in the Fastlane brand in that the barriers are positioned off-center; the longer end of the pedestal preceding the barrier allows the turnstile to be used in a “normally open” mode where the barriers are retracted and rise to block the path when a person enters the lane without authorization. No matter the barrier position, advanced Fastlane optical technology alarms intruders and tailgaters who fail to present a credential. Intelligate is an access gate nearly forty inches wide and, unlike other such gates, accurately alarms tailgaters by using the same Fastlane technology. FastScan is a factory-installed, fully integrated proximity and barcode reader solution for Fastlane turnstiles. It allows visitors to seamlessly integrate into the controlled entry process used by employees.
