Bank Upgrades within Fastlane Line to Glassgate 400
Years ago a big financial institution in the Midwest put several lanes of Fastlane Plus into the lobby of its headquarters. Since that time, the security landscape changed and the bank wanted even higher security for its main entrance. For this it chose Fastlane Glassgate® 400 with six-foot high barriers, and put three lanes in the footprint of the older turnstiles during a lobby renovation.
The customer stayed loyal to Fastlane after great experiences across multiple buildings with both the turnstiles and Smarter Security's support. Glassgate 400 barriers are an obvious deterrent and require great force to push through them. An available locking brake further strengthens security. We are happy to be working with this bank again and helping to secure the extensive assests it manages.
Glassgate 300 Wins Design Award
Many Class A buildings view their lobby spaces as key building elements where turnstiles cannot detract from the aesthetics. Fastlane styling has long been a hallmark of the brand and has helped us achieve the number one share in the market. Our latest turnstile, Fastlane Glassgate 300 is no exception and was recognized late last year with a Good Design award.
The Good Design Award is a Japanese design and commendation system in place since 1957 that recognizes how “design can enrich culture and bring harmony to environments at many levels.” Given that building workers routinely interact with our turnstiles and see them as a key component of the larger lobby space, this award is a fine testament to this new turnstile. Fastlane continues to raise the bar with impecccable aesthetics.
New Inside Sales Representative
We are excited to announce the latest addition to our sales team: Katie DeBakey joined us recently in our Austin office to provide inside support for customers throughout the purchase process. She will be working alongside Jessi Eidem and then taking over for her in mid-July to help customers in the central and western United States as well as Canada.
Katie brings great experience to the role and will be well ready to support customers after a month-long shadowing experience. We know many of you, like us, will miss Jessi after she relocates, and we encourage you to help us welcome Katie to the Smarter Security team.
Expanding our Reach into Mexico
Last year, we made more of a commitment to the Canadian market by putting a Sales Manager on the ground in Ottawa. This year, we are moving forward into Mexico to assist our neighbor to the south with security challenges faced by organizations there. We had a booth at Expo Seguridad Mexico City in April and received a warm reception by locals happy to learn about Fastlane and Door Detective's many advantages.
Consistent with American values, Fastlane aesthetics wowed the Mexican market at the show. Today, our entry security brochure and several datasheets are available in Spanish, and more translated literature will soon be accessible on our web site. For the short-term, we have an employee in Mexico City working to develop our business and look forward to starting new and mutually beneficial relationships.
Organization Secures Grounds with SmarterBeam
Many organizations are proactive and install security before incidents happen. A company on the east coast took such an action to keep vandals and intruders at a distance by alarming anyone who crosses an open, unfenced area on their grounds. The systems integrator recommended SmarterBeam after prior success with the product at other customer sites.
The customer installed four units of SmarterBeam CLR500+. This model was selected because the customer liked the ability to divide the large detection area into multiple zones for a more pinpoint alarm response. SmarterBeam CLR500+ is a long-range PIR motion detector that has three detection zones across a 500-foot long detection area. It has advanced technology for alarm accuracy, tamper protection and a heater that allows it to operate in temperatures of 40 below zero.
